I’ve been thinking about doing a strange search terms feature ever since that Ninja Harry Potter post I did a few days ago. I hadn’t planned on debuting this weekly feature quite yet but the past couple days I’ve been found through some strange, strange phrases so I guess now is as good a time as any to go ahead with things. So lets get started shall we?
Recently, I’ve been getting hits from the search phrase “viva viagra lyrics” to an article I wrote last week. Strangely, I also received a hit to the article from the search term “this old toad” with quotes. Probably shouldn’t be too shocked because this old toad is part of the lyrics to Viva Viagra but one would think if you were looking for the lyrics to Viva Viagra you would search for Viva Viagra. This forces us to ask … why “this old toad”? Was it simply a random phrase someone decided to throw in the search engine?
This brings us to the second strangest search term I’ve seen this week.
#2: can you file cat’s teeth so they aren’t sharp?
I’m not sure why anyone would be looking this up unless they’re trying to turn their cat into a plant eater through human intervention, but U Suxxors actually ranks in the top slot on Google for this phrase thanks to a combined effort from two articles on my front page at the time. Maybe someone was just sick of being bitten by their cat. I have a feeling filing their teeth might be a bit of a harsh response. As with any strange search term, if you see one here that you’ve used feel free to email me and explain why you searched for the phrase. I’ll put up your explanation in next week’s Strange Search Terms post. Perhaps you had a good reason for looking this phrase up and it’s all a horrible misunderstanding.
Our final Strange Search Term of the week is one that I’d particularly like to see an explanation for if only for the hilarity that could ensue. I find it a bit strange that U Suxxors is ranking in the top ten for this term but thankfully, it’s not number one. It’s number ten. That search phrase?

Yes, U Suxxors has finally made it as an internet website. My ranking for this term came about through a combination of my barking dogs: a rant article and the viva viagra article. See, sometimes you don’t need a site with a particular theme. Randomness brings humor. I’m almost saddened that in time Google will cache a different front page and I will lose my top ten ranking for this search phrase because it’s something I feel like I can brag to my friends about except I’m afraid they’d misunderstand me and draw a wrong conclusion.
