Whoopie Goldberg made her View debut yesterday, taking over the vacant spot left by Rosie O’Donnel. Goldberg proceeded to begin the long climb towards making just as much as ass out of herself as Rosie did by defending Michael Vick. You know, that dude that ran a dog fighting ring and then killed ones that didn’t perform up to snuff for him through drowning, hanging and electrocution. Boy, she must’ve had a really well thought out argument to explain the defense of such a guy huh?
Actually, no she didn’t. She failed miserably as one would expect. In fact she also managed to piss off southern Viewers (see what I did there?) by saying Vick’s conduct wasn’t unusual considering where he comes from. It seems there’s a massive dog fighting industry in the south somewhere that somehow brainwashed Michael Vick into thinking torturing animals was just peachy behavior, I do declare.
On a side note, I just read that Rosie was only on this show for less than a year. Felt like a lifetime, much in the same way a prostate check up does.
