The creator of an anti Fred Thompson website was severely admonished by Republican presidential candidate Mitt “Mittens” Romney after word came out that the site was linked to Romney’s campaign.
The creator of the site, one Wes Donahue is Vice President of the firm Tompkins, Thompson, and Sullivan. One of those three individuals, Warren Tompkins, it actually a paid advisor to Romney’s campaign.
I saw this story on CNN this morning and from the way people were talking about the site, you’d swear they had nude bondage pictures of Fred Thompson in compromising and flat out unflattering positions all over the front page. Words I heard that were used to describe the site included disgusting, nasty, ugly. That would indeed probably describe the aforementioned pictures.
The site is no longer online but we did see a picture of the front page before it was removed. Hardly the pit of vile evilness I expected. Hell it didn’t look any different than anything we do at U Suxxors, maybe even a little nicer. Apparently the cause for alarm were the terms used on the front page of the site: Phoney Fred, Pimp Fred, Washington Fred, Hollywood Fred, and McCain Fred.
Boy, now I know what insults to throw out next time I get into a fight with a girlfriend. “You think I don’t listen to you?? Well excuse the hell out of me WASHINGTON RACHEL!”
Are we that sensitive in this world that sub-kindergarden insults like that are so much of a cause for alarm that useless politicians are going to get into tiffs over it? Does it make too much sense to use that precious time to, I don’t know, campaign about how you’re actually going to fix this screwed up country? I’ve got news for you Fred, anyone whose vote was going to be influenced by that site is a lost cause anyway. You weren’t going to get their support.
As for Mitt Romney, the right thing to do would’ve been to laugh and question why something so utterly retarded would’ve bothered Fred to begin with. I’m waiting on someone to come along and affiliate me with say, John McCain now because of the anti Thompson and Romney comments. I can see the CNN headline now…
“Comments Made By Internet Site Paint Fred Thompson As a Bondage Slut” with the sub headline being “Who pulls the reigns to the newest Anti Fred Thompson website?”
