I’m writing late tonight, and this may suck, but hey, what do you expect from a site with a bunch of badly drawn stick figures for a logo? Least I have a logo. That’s right. Don’t be jealous.
Everyone’s going to be blogging about Bush’s speech tonight and it’s either going to be blah blah blah he’s holding the country hostage or blah blah blah I want to have George Bush’s babies so instead I’m going to focus on something different. I was getting ready to turn the news off but I flipped over to CNN for a second to see if anyone was talking about the speech. Earlier, I saw Rudy Giuliani looking like some sort of foul creature that just pulled it’s way out of mist covered rot ridden marsh and switched over to MSNBC because I was afraid staring at him for too long would prematurely age me or cause my ears to fall off or something. When I flipped back over I saw a clip of Mike Gravel giving an interview or some such thing and he said something along the lines of “Americans are fat and stupid.”
Then this dude pops on the screen and his eyes are bugging out and I swear his hair stood on end like he was just hit with news so fantastically surprising it produced an effect in him similar to sticking your penis into an electrical socket. I wish I caught his name but I missed it. He wasn’t one of the regular CNN people that have their own show. Anyway, he looks into the camera with the most moronic look on his face and makes a comment about how that was a horrible thing for his speech writers to have him say if he’s trying to become President of the United States.
I agree, it’s a horrible thing to say if he’s attempting to take over as President. Something that’s you know, truthful.
Does anyone believe it’s not true? Go outside, take a walk or drive through your nearest shopping district this weekend for a few hours. Count how many out of shape people you see and count how many people you see that look like they take care of themselves. Seriously, try it. Now tell me Mike Gravel is lying.
After you’re done with that, the following week I want you to pay attention to everyone you see and take note of all the stupid things they do. Wreckless drivers, people doing stupid things in or off of the street, people in the news, stupid people on the internet. The last one will probably convince you all by itself. Just go hang out on a random message board for awhile, you’re bound to find a few village idiots. Remember back when we all laughed about Miss South Carolina making a fool of herself on stage? Everyone laughed and called her an idiot, yet no one said anything about the original question she was asked about a fifth of the people in this country not being able to find the United States on a map. Mike Gravel is full of it?
I don’t care if any of you support Mike Gravel or not. Personally, I’m neither democrat nor republican. The five or so people the media focuses on don’t appeal to me but if I had to pick one I’d go with Clinton I suppose. I haven’t had the time to brush up on my Mike Gravel knowledge and while I don’t know enough about him, I will say I vastly perfer people that have new ideas and most importantly are honest. Gravel said an honest thing. It might be hard to swallow, but what are the other two options? He could lie, and say Americans are healthy and supremely intelligent, or he could’ve not said anything at all and brushed the problem under a rug. I know what decision I prefer.
Or, everyone could just keep hiding from the truth while people start dying off at earlier ages as we pay for their health care, and stupid people continue to make stupid decisions that affect the rest of us.
Speaking of, has anyone checked to see if Bush knows where the US is on a map?
