Warner Brothers President of Productions Is a He-Man Woman Hater

The word coming out of Hollywood today is that Jeff Robinov, the President of Productions for Warner Brothers, has issued a new decree that women will no longer have lead roles in Warner Brothers films.

This comes after the Nicole Kidman’s film The Invasion and Jodie Foster’s film The Brave One both failed to set the box offices on fire. Of course, it’s all the women’s fault. I haven’t seen either film yet. Invasion didn’t look like something I’d care for but Brave One looked pretty good. Regardless, the idea that people didn’t go see the films because of female leads is just laughable.

I’ve read somewhere that Warner Brothers is pretty male centric to begin with when it comes to leads, something I never noticed because I guess I don’t care enough to pay attention to who made whatever film, but rather the film itself. After looking through the list of films they’ve put out in the recent years though, there’s some hum dingers in here. Superman Returns for instance. Didn’t a guy star in that film? Granted, from everything I hear it was a very girly portrayal of Superman … maybe that was the film’s problem. Maybe he should’ve put a sock in his red tights and smacked Lois Lane around a little bit. Two thumbs up!

We need the paparazzi to stop trying to peek up Britney Spears’ skirt for five seconds and get a picture of Robinov’s boys only tree house behind his million dollar mansion. Is MTV Cribs still on TV?
