In what’s thought to be an interesting way of damning Barack Obama’s campaign bid, Lynne Cheney showed up on MSNBC yesterday and revealed that Obama is eighth cousins with Vice President Dick Cheney. This has prompted the internet and various bloggers to poke fun at Dick Cheney’s sudden blackness and street cred or lack there of but if you think about it, it could be considered a subtle way to make people dislike Obama. After all everyone hates Dick Cheney, maybe even more than they hate Bush. At least Bush can be comedic in his stupidity. Cheney’s just boring. The news stations always seem to think that if a politician is associated with something people don’t like, the dislike carries over to the politician no matter how much distance there is between the two parties.
Maybe Bush will come out next and declare that Hillary Clinton is fourth cousin’s ex step in sister in law twice removed or something.
