I need to make a change in my life next week, an important and potentially life altering change. I need to stop watching MSNBC. Every day I end up getting pissed off by them for some reason, whether it be their airhead reporters or the constant harping on subjects that are unimportant or have nothing to do with real news. So next week I’m making the switch over to CNN or E! or something. Maybe I’ll find a good news podcast.
Actually today hasn’t been too bad so far. No sign of Contessa Brewer, maybe they came to their senses and fired her. This morning we’ve got Amy Robach, this blonde who I first saw appearing on the Don Imus show a couple years ago. I felt bad for her because even though I actually used to like watching Imus back in the day, that’s a hell of an introduction to the world of MSNBC. She’s no where near as obnoxious as Brewer is.
She doesn’t seem to know too much about video games though. They were running some story this morning about how Halo 3 killed the box office when it was released and the similarities between the video game and movie industries. Robach was completely shocked when she was told that adults play video games. She let out a sound of amazement when told Halo 3 contains 20 hours of game play. I don’t really think she understood that you can save the game; something tells me she thought people sit down for 20 hours at a time and go through it in one sitting. Thankfully they weren’t talking about a game with 60 hours of gameplay or she might’ve had a heart attack. Alex Witt’s covering this now which must mean it’s going to be that story of choice they repeat every 15 minutes throughout the day.
