Fanfiction writers everywhere rejoiced when word came out over the past couple days that Harry Potter creator JK Rowling had announced one of her characters, Dumbledore, is gay. Dumbledore I guess is the headmaster of whatever magic school Harry Potter takes place in and I’m just waiting on some nutcase to start screaming about the audacity of Rowling to have a gay headmaster in charge of a magical school for little kids. You know it’s coming, and it’ll probably be from the same guys that said Pokemon represented devil summoning or something.
Isn’t the series over at this point anyway? Kinda strange for JK Rowling to come out and say Dumbledore was gay after the fact. Maybe it’s a publicity thing but you’d think she’d have enough money at this point to have a money bin that’d put Scrooge McDuck to shame. I like controversy so I approve of this, even though all of us are humongous geeks for even thinking about a book / movie franchise after the fact.
