Hulu sounds to me like something you catch in a South American jungle while looking for ancient ruins armed with nothing except a machete and your wits. Or maybe some kinda hurricane. Or a voodoo priestess. Hulu is actually NBC’s new ad run video network meant to combat YouTube and possibly put it out of business somewhere down the road. If you heard something in the past couple weeks about about NBC removing all of their copyrighted material from YouTube, this is why.
Of course, trying to jump into a market dominated by YouTube as well as other smaller tube sites with the idea that you’re going to crush the competition is completely insane. Think small, not large: especially not internet domination large.
I still want to know where the name came from. After doing some research, Hulu translates to Butt in Malaysian and Indonesian. I laughed.
