Somewhere Larry Craig is cackling because for a moment a least, someone has taken the heat off of him. Republican legislator Richard Curtis has been swept up in a gay sex scandal involving a guy named Cody Castagna who Curtis said was trying to extort him for money. It was later revealed in a police report that Curtis had sex with Castagna and Castagna was trying to get money out of him to keep it secret.
I don’t want to come across like I have a thing against republicans so before I say what I’m about to say and get a ton of republicans swearing bloody murder at me in emails, I don’t have a political affiliation. With that said, damn are there a lot of republicans getting swept up in these scandals lately or what? You’d think politicians would realize they’re basically held under the same microscope that celebrities are without having that bit of leeway where celebrity scandals are expected every so often.
Contessa Brewer was talking about this on MSNBC this morning. She laughed and did that damn silent “what a humongous loser, I’m soooo above this bullshit” pause after mentioning the man’s name was the Stallion, as did her co-workers. Contessa Brewer bringing the MATURITY~! to the anchor chair.
