I have never seen Slash from Guns ‘N Roses / Velvet Revolver fame speak too often. Guess I never followed many interviews, unless we’re talking from years ago. Axl was always the loud one. Regardless, Slash is a God to me, and once when I was watching the video for November Rain I felt Slash reach through the screen and touch my heart man. Actually no I didn’t, but I am a huge fan. I wish VH1 would do another season of Supergroup and bring Slash in on guitar instead of another show about New York or Flava Flav.
So anyway, Slash showed up on Letterman Tuesday night and started talking about his first few encounters with Axl Rose, telling a couple fantastic stories in the short under two minute clip I saw on Idolator yesterday. I’m sure VH1 had to have done a Behind the Music on Guns ‘N Roses at some point and I really want to seek it out now. I’m sure there’s gold to be found in a couple hour long interview with Slash and Axl just talking about the good old days.
