I keep reading about bloggers responding to Hillary Clinton and how she handled the attacks sent her way at the last democratic debate on MSNBC a couple days ago and feel compelled to add my own lack of political wisdom to the pile because I have a blog and I have an opinion dammit.
Hillary’s been playing the gender card now in a cute attempt to poke fun at the other candidates while making her look like the biggest threat which in all honesty she is. Despite this, I don’t see how this is a particularly smart move because while she’s trying to appeal to woman as the tough hard nosed lady daring to play ball in a man’s world, she’s going to start losing the male vote with her pretentious attitude. I’m one of the most un-sexist people you’ll ever meet and even I’m growing completely tired with her ramblings about men, to the point where if I actually gave a shit about the outcome of the election my support for her would be definitively affected by now. Of course part of the reason I detest politics to begin with is because it’s more about appealing to voters in any way you possibly can rather than actually hammering home issues you believe in undeterred by what’s going on around you. That and I can’t stand it that you never hear a politician answer a yes or no question with an actual yes or no. That immediately shows me you’re full of shit and can’t be trusted.
Still haven’t decided between Stewie Griffin and Brian for my write in vote. I might actually have to go ahead with a poll …
