Drew Carey Fights For Legalized Medical Marijuana

Let’s face it, a good portion of the world wants pot legalized. Some want it for recreational purposes and considering all the bullshit going on in the world these days I can’t really blame people for wanting a little something to help them relax. I want it legalized because I think law enforcement could be doing far more important things with their time than going after weed smokers and growers. More importantly however, there’s people out there with chronic pain that could actually use it to help make life a little more bearable. Marijuana is currently legalized for medical purposes in California — not a bad start, but people living in pain don’t just live in California or any of the other eleven states with similar laws.

This leads us to Drew Carey. I dislike Drew Carey purely because I hated the American version of Who’s Line Is It Anyway and I hated his sitcom. It’s not really his fault or anything, I’m just bitchy like that and generally dislike sitcoms. He has however earned a great deal of respect from me for his current fight against against the federal government. Carey wants medical marijuana legalized across the board and as somebody that has cared for a loved one in the past that experienced constant, unforgiving pain, I simply wanted to take some space here to applaud him as well as put even the tiniest supporting spotlight on the issue. I now forgive him for the Drew Carey Show. Nothing short of a personalized check will smooth over the Who’s Line issue however.
