Two things will be remembered most about MSNBC’s democratic debate last week: Hillary Clinton coming out worse for wear and the great UFO debate that closed the show. Some bloggers are already running down Tim Russert and his pointless question to Dennis Kucinich regarding whether or not he ever saw some sort of flying object of a possible alien nature. My feelings are that Barack Obama was right when he responded to the same question with something to the effect of “I’m more worried about the poor people on this planet right now”. It was a downright stupid question to ask when there’s quite a few serious issues going on in the world right now and people are looking to vote for which candidate is going to %(#* up the least if chosen to run this country.
Larry King now feels inspired, no doubt by last week’s burning question, to cover aliens and their effect national security on Thursday. High ranking officials will appear to discuss the threat of a possible alien invasion and whether or not Bush wants to begin blowing planets out of the sky because they may or may not possess weapons of mass destruction. Maybe we should do something about those terrorists first?
It does make you wonder though. If an alien comes out of the sky and lands on this planet, doesn’t that make it an illegal alien? If so, do we immediately deport it back to it’s home world or do we give it a driver’s license?
