Normally when you hear of psychos stalking celebrities or models, they choose beautiful young women or perhaps hunky male stars. Did I just use the word hunky in this blog? Regardless, Conan O’Brien doesn’t really seem like stalker material to me, but then again I’ve never stalked anyone. If I were hypothetically, I’d choose Ashleigh Banfield just because she’s the flipping truth. She could just give me the news all day so I wouldn’t have to actually tune into MSNBC.
To make it stranger, it’s a priest that decided to come after the late night talk show host — sending messages to his folks, posting on his message board, threatening him, showing up at the studio where he was eventually arrested. I know a lot of commentators out there are going to make jokes about how the priest maybe couldn’t find a little boy to chase after, but I’m not going to go that route. I’m not even going to make mention of such a thing here in the blog. Won’t even bring up the very idea. Err .. just forget I even typed this paragraph. Heh.
This actually would’ve made a hell of a half-way decent b-movie storyline, albeit maybe with a different talk show host lead. The priest is completely bonkers, referring to himself in the letters sent to Conan as “Your priest stalker” and “Your most dangerous fan”. It makes you wonder what caused this guy to snap in the first place. Why … Conan O’Brien?
