So where were you Saturday night? Where you watching a movie? Drinking? Working? It doesn’t matter, because I can tell you where you weren’t. Saturday night, a movement was taking place. Voices were being heard. A great injustice was being protested, and demands were being made.
Enter … Team Britney.
I don’t know who the hell would lay claim to starting or even admit to being a part of this group, but Team Britney held a rally demanding that Britney Spears be given her kids back Saturday night despite the overwhelming evidence that she’s a shitty mother and you know, just ran a red light with them the other night because she was too busy playing with her phone. Because you know, they’re fans and they think she’s a great singer or dancer or something. That of course completely redeems her. This is the kind of stuff they parody in movies like Clueless. There’s guys in this group and you know they’re there because they’ve been Britney fans since the late 90s and hope it’ll lead to some sort of sexual rendezvous with the pure hearted but rebellious blonde goddess. Just like in her music videos!
I want them to start running in during court appearances now like some kind of militant version of Code Pink, or lay down in front of the street to block Kevin Federline’s car or something. Hey, if you’re going to make fools of yourselves at the very least you can go completely overboard with it. Go on Team Britney, entertain us. This video is a good start.
