I’m reading different stories about this. One person says that Britney Spears hit a guy on his bike last night but TMZ and another source that seems to have an in guy on the story says Britney did not in fact hit this guy, it was another paparazzi in a long line of cars that were chasing her for whatever reason, probably hoping to get a picture of her picking her nose in the car.
A guy on a bike was tailing Britney Spears when another paparazzi driving a car hit him and actually ran the guy over, breaking arms, legs, and the guy’s back. According to That Other Blog, he suffered a seizure at the scene and is currently in critical condition. He’s not a paparazzi per say; rather he’s called a spotter. He chases celebrities and alerts photographers as to where they can find them. The guy was new to the scene according to TMZ.
I’m surprised this isn’t on the cable news stations yet, particularly MSNBC. Something’s going to have to happen in terms of the law when it comes to paparazzi, particularly if this guy dies. The whole chasing celebrities thing is completely out of hand and 99% of the time they’re not doing anything except driving anyway. This is the same kind of thing that got Princess Diana killed in England, except this time it may have been one of the chasers instead of the celebrity. I will update if I see anything else.
