You ever have one of those days where you try to read something and you see a different word than the one that’s actually there? Ever do it multiple times a day?
I just read a headline that said “Dollar Crisis” as “Dino Crisis”. Five minutes later I read a headline on MSNBC that said “Anne Frank Tree Needs Cut Down” as “Anne Frank Needs Cut Down”.
This leads to another a similar problem I have and I’m curious to know if I’m the only one that runs into this issue, because I’m afraid if I am it could mean I have some sort of a brain problem I really should get addressed. Have you ever typed a word in a sentence and ended up typing an entirely different word instead of the one you wanted? You’ll probably see examples of it if you look through U Suxxors hard enough because I don’t have a proofreader and I write so much that mistakes sometimes slip through the cracks. The word won’t even be a typo, it’ll be a completely different word. I’ll stick an “of” where I want to stick an “is” or a “type” instead of a “typo” like I just did in the previous sentence.
It’s quite strange. And quite annoying. I’d put Gal Val on proofreading duty but I’m afraid she’ll start sticking exclamation points everywhere.
