Someone named Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested for being drunk and I’ve heard about it everywhere this morning from TMZ to MSNBC to DListed to all the major celebrity blogs to Yahoo. I’m waiting for an emergency press conference from the president himself telling me that the nation is in mourning today due to this tragic incident. Not one of these places actually mentions who he is except that he’s Irish. That explains it. A drunk Irish man is news? It’s a good thing I rarely drink anymore or I’d be doing the same post every night about how Jack Page was spotted kicked in the ass again in his computer chair.
I’ve actually wikied~! this man and learned that he’s an actor who appeared in Prozac Nation, Alexander and Mission Impossible III, and he stars in that new film called August Rush I keep seeing advertised that looks horribly sappy and lovey dovey.
He’s also got incredibly freaky looking eyes, like he’s possessed by some sort of banshee or something.
