I hate reality shows because as much as I want to run the things down, if I start watching one that doesn’t involve dancing or singing I end up getting accidentally hooked. For a time I actually went out of my way to catch episodes of Flavor of Love and Celebrity Fit Club, a show that I found far more entertaining than I should’ve.
VH1’s got another hum dinger of an idea set to debut soon called Celebrity Rehab that features people no one remembers or particularly cares about kicking their drug addictions. An edgier than usual show from the sound of it, some scenes will show celebs using, including a scene with the former lead singer from Crazy Town smoking crack as he verbally beats himself up for having fallen so low. Yeah, and then there’s the fact that he’s smoking crack on camera. The show is also rumored to include Jessica Sierra from American Idol, Jeff Conway from Taxi, former governor candidate and pornstar Mary Carey, batshit insane ex wrestler Joanie Laurer Chyna, the other other Baldwin brother Daniel Baldwin, and actress Bridgette Nielson.
I may have to check this out sometime, though Chyna may very well keep me away and I really don’t want to find myself watching a bunch of VH1 reality shows again. I wonder if that one ever started on CMT where Bobby Brown was going to be a cowboy.
